A good reminder to start the New Year! Also, don't forget that we have Certified Passenger Safety Technicians who are able to help you make sure your child's car seat is safe for them!

The start of a new year is the perfect time to double-check your car seats and booster seats. Little ones grow fast, so take a moment to check some critical safety points. A growing child's height or weight may require adjusting the harness height, changing the installation method or switching to a new mode of use or a new car seat. Check your manual for guidance and peace of mind on the road!

Make-it-Monday: Benefits of Reading. As you wind down from the busy holiday season, do a simple activity with your child: read! Snuggle in nice and close to your little one and read them one of their favorite books. This is a great way to bond with your child and help their language development.

Make-it-Monday: Word Book. This activity is great for toddlers. This book can be about anything - family members, animals, cars. Use zip-top bags, construction paper, photos, and glue for this project. Have your child help you glue each photo down on the paper and create your book togehter! Don't forget to give it a title and put your child's name down as the author 😉📖

The Family Enrichment Program offers free prenatal to age 3 support services in Jo Daviess and Stephenson Counties - ALL families are welcome to join!

Our goal? To empower families for lifelong learning and healthy development!

Our program is designed to nurture young minds, helping them explore the world around them through the implementation of parents as teachers.

We offer creative play, interactive learnings, and lots of fun with the help of our parent educators!

Make-it-Monday: Stacking and Building

This activity is great for older babies and toddlers. Save those empty containers and boxes. Let you child use them to practice stacking and show their creativity by building structures! When your child builds, they are learning trial and error to make their structures strong. They are also using their hand-eye coordination to carefully place each container.

Don't forget, you are your child's first and most important teacher!
