💙 April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

Every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, supported, and loved and we all play a role in making that happen.

Here are a few simple ways you can help prevent child abuse in our community:

🔹Know the signs – Changes in behavior, withdrawal, or unexplained injuries can be signals a child needs help
🔹Be a supportive adult – Listen, believe, and take children seriously when they speak
🔹Support families – Offer help, encouragement, or resources to parents who may be struggling
🔹Create safe environments – Promote kindness, respect, and open communication
🔹Speak up – If you see something concerning, don’t stay silent—report it

Prevention starts with awareness, but it grows through action. Together, we can build a community where all children are safe and thriving. 💙

If you suspect abuse or neglect, you can call the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-25-ABUSE

🐰 The Family Enrichment Program, along with the Regional Office of Education #8, will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026 and Monday, April 6, 2026 in honor of the Easter holiday. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. 🌷

Make it Monday: Sweep Into a Square!

Create a square on the floor using masking tape. Use dry beans or small, soft pompoms to put around the square. Show your child how to sweep the small objects into the square. This is great for your child's social-emotional, language, and motor development.

Don't forget that you are your child's first and most important teacher! 🥰
