💪 Let’s get physical to stay healthy! 👟

Being active isn’t just for athletes — it’s essential for all of us, especially as we get older. Regular physical activity helps maintain strength, balance, and independence while reducing the risk of chronic disease.

According to the CDC, older adults should aim for:
✨ At least 150 minutes of moderate activity per week
✨ Muscle-strengthening activities 2+ days a week
✨ Activities that improve balance to help prevent falls

Whether it’s walking, dancing, gardening, or gentle stretching — move in ways that feel good for your body. Staying active helps you live healthier, longer, and with more joy!

Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of vision loss and blindness — and the tricky part? It often shows no early symptoms, earning it the nickname the “silent thief of sight.”

This month, let’s raise awareness about this stealthy eye disease, why early detection matters, and how regular comprehensive dilated eye exams can help protect vision before it’s too late.

✨ What you can do this Glaucoma Awareness Month:
• Encourage loved ones — especially those over 40 or at higher risk — to get an eye exam
• Share facts and resources about glaucoma
• Make vision health a priority, even if your eyes feel fine

Preserving sight begins with knowing the risks and acting early. 👓💙 "

Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers—and awareness truly saves lives.

Regular screenings, early detection, and HPV vaccination can make all the difference. This month (and always), we encourage women and families to prioritize preventive care, ask questions, and support one another in staying informed.

At Care Answered, we believe health conversations should happen before a crisis—because proactive care is powerful care.

✨ Take time to learn.
✨ Schedule your screenings.

Today, we pause to remember the six million Jewish lives—and millions of others—lost during the Holocaust. We honor the survivors, the families forever changed, and the courage of those who stood against hatred in its darkest form.

Remembrance is not only about the past. It is a responsibility we carry forward: to speak out against antisemitism, prejudice, and injustice, and to choose compassion, dignity, and humanity in our daily lives.

At Care Answered, we believe remembrance matters—because empathy, understanding, and advocacy begin with acknowledging history and honoring every life.

Never forget. Never again.

There may be good news for milk lovers: a recent review of previous studies found that there may actually be benefits to consuming higher-fat over lower-fat dairy. One study found drinking whole milk was better than skim milk when it comes to raising HDL, or "good" cholesterol. Read the study and ask your doctor about which is best for you: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6014779/
