Northwest Eyecare is a comprehensive eyecare practice serving all of Northwest Illinois with locations in: Freeport, Stockton, Oregon, Lanark, and Rock Falls. Our doctors of optometry diagnose and treat eye diseases, as well as vision disorders in patients of all ages and health conditions. We actively co-manage refractive and cataract surgeries, and we have an affiliation with University of Wisconsin Ophthalmology department as well as nationally recognized cornea specialists. We are the largest optometric practice in Northwest Illinois with five locations to provide the best access to quality care for our patients. We are proud to offer the latest in diagnostic testing and treatments, as well as a full-service optical department with an in-house lab. Northwest Eyecare’s roots stem from the first optometric practice in Stephenson County, which started in Freeport in 1926. Since then, optometry as a profession has evolved, and so has our practice! Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Dr. Gerry Haines and Dr. Abe Schaye continually expanded the offices by opening a branch in Lanark. In 1980, Dr. Dennis Robinson joined the practice. As an Elizabeth native, he added his two offices in Lena and Elizabeth which expanded our offices to four. In 1989, the practice was given a new name, Northwest Eyecare, which describes our geographic coverage of Northwest Illinois. Our Oregon office location was opened in early 1995 and in September of that same year, Northwest Eyecare merged with Dr. Jon Goulart's All Seasons Optical in Freeport and Stockton. Shortly after, our Stockton office was opened to better accommodate the patients from both practices. Our most recent addition to the Northwest Eyecare family is our Rock Falls location, which we added 2019. We are proud to attest that our doctors are all natives from the surrounding northwest Illinois rural communities. Dr. Eric Coy, from Winnebago, joined our practice in 2012. In 2018, both Dr. Quinn Judge of Warren, as well as Dr. Jessica Condie, from Freeport, joined Northwest Eyecare. Dr. Jack Hanlon of Sterling, joined our practice in 2019. In addition, Dr. Jon Goulart is also still practicing with our team. Northwest Eyecare takes great pride in being able to serve patients in such a large geographic area and give back to those same communities that supported us.
