As of Sept. 2 the US 59/FM 624 intersection in southwest Live Oak County has become an all-way stop intersection.
With the change, motorists southbound and northbound on US 59 will now have to stop before proceeding through the intersection. Currently, only motorists eastbound and westbound on FM 624 are required to stop.
Motorists are urged to be alert to the traffic control change at this intersection, slow down, prepare to stop and obey all roadway signs. Law enforcement will monitor the intersection as motorists become accustomed to the change.
