Easter brings some of the most common pet poison calls of the year, and many of the hazards are easy to overlook. Chocolate and xylitol-containing candies top the list for dogs, while Lilium species lilies are one of the most dangerous plants for cats.
Spring flowers like tulips, daffodils, amaryllis, and azaleas add to the risk, and even Easter grass can become a serious hazard if swallowed. A little preparation before the holiday makes a big difference.
