The Skincare Center & Spa at Tamarac is now offering dry needling.

Dry needling works by inserting thin needles into myofascial trigger points, which causes a localized twitch response that helps release muscle tension, improve blood flow, and reduce pain. Dry needling uses solid needles that do not inject any substances into the body.

This treatment can also improve range of motion and normalize muscle function. It is performed only by clinicians who have received additional training and certification. While it can be performed on any skeletal muscle that is causing pain due to spasms, common diagnoses that are successfully treated by this intervention include:
-Headaches
-Neck and shoulder pain
-Low back pain
-Carpal tunnel syndrome
-Plantar fasciitis
-Hip pain
-Myofascial pain
-Shin splints
-Knee pain
