This scene - part therapeutic ritual, part cultural spectacle - is routine at the hospital, where Chinese medicine meets Russian curiosity. Along th...

Chinese Medicine (TCM) health tips for May #
☀️ In TCM, May marks the start of summer, a season focused on heart and health awareness. As temperatures rise and the days lengthen, the body must adapt to the increased heat and activities. May is a time to nurture vitality, protect the body against heat, and maintain balance to ensure a smooth transition into the summer months. Here are some key tips for maintaining a healthy heart in May:

☀️Support Heart Health: Calm the Mind
In TCM, summer is associated with the heart, and it is believed that excess heat can lead to “heart fire” (insomnia, palpitations and dream-disturbed sleep), which can affect emotional balance. To maintain heart health, it’s important to manage stress and avoid emotional overheating. Engage in activities that calm the mind and soothe the spirit, such as meditation, deep breathing, or gentle stretching. These activities can help reduce emotional volatility and prevent the heart from becoming overwhelmed by excessive heat.

☀️Lighten Up Your Exercise Routine
In May, it's a good time to keep your physical activity moderate, avoiding intense workouts during the hottest part of the day. Instead, focus on activities that help enhance circulation and promote energy flow without overstraining the body. Gentle exercises like tai chi, yoga, and morning walks are excellent choices for balancing the body's internal energy and avoiding overheating.

Chinese Medicine (TCM) health tips for April #
⭐️April is the tail end of spring and a transition period to the warmer summer. The weather gradually warms up and gets humid. In TCM, it is essential to align with seasonal changes to maintain balance and harmony in the body. Here are some key health tips for April:
⭐️Adjust Your Sleep and Work Routine
In spring, Yang energy rises. We can stimulate meridians by patting to promote Yang energy. As the weather gets humid, this can burden the spleen and affect digestion. It's beneficial to wake up early and go to bed early to align with nature’s rhythm. It's helpful to take a short nap in the afternoon to recharge your energy.

⭐️Eat Light and Nourishing Foods
As the weather warms up, it is better to have light, easy-to-digest foods to support your body's transition. Avoid raw and cold foods . Fresh vegetables and fruits, such as winter melon, red bean, spinach, carrots, celery, and strawberries, are great choices as they help strengthen the spleen and eliminate dampness.

Chinese Medicine (TCM) health tips for March #

March marks the beginning of spring. Spring is associated with the Wood element in TCM, representing growth, renewal, and vitality. It is an excellent time to adjust your body and lifestyle to align with the season. Below are the key health recommendations:

1. Tonify the Liver

Why: In TCM, the Liver is closely related to spring. The Liver is responsible for the smooth flow of Qi (energy) and blood throughout the body. During spring, the Liver's energy rises, and this can sometimes lead to emotional imbalances such as irritability or frustration. Therefore, liver health is particularly important during this season.
How: To tonify the Liver, consume foods that support its function, such as leafy greens (spinach, chives, dandelion) and bitter foods (bitter melon, chrysanthemum). These foods help clear excess heat and promote the smooth flow of Qi. Managing stress through relaxation practices like Tai Chi, Qigong, or meditation can also help balance emotions and prevent liver Qi stagnation.

2. Maintain Appropriate Physical Activity

Why: Spring is a season of growth and upward energy, symbolizing vitality and movement. Physical activity helps prevent Qi stagnation, which can lead to fatigue, poor circulation, and sluggish digestion.
How: Engage in light outdoor activities such as walking, jogging, Tai Chi, or yoga. These activities help stimulate the flow of Qi, improve blood circulation, and increase vitality. Regular movement also helps to clear emotional blockages and promote mental clarity.
