She will be here in the mornings on MWF. She is still learning the ropes, but she has been a great addition to our office family!

Your body will build and repair based on the stresses placed on it. In other words, exercise and activity is critical to maintaining health of our muscles and bones as we age. Without it, your body ages much faster!

Remember to add weight-bearing activities to your weekly routine: running, weightlifting, sports, etc and add a weight vest if you’re walking.

Most of you know that I have been working out at Orangetheory for the past 5 years. It’s the only program that has held me stay consistent and accountable.

Like you, I need coaching/motivation.

Like you, I’m lazy.

Like you, I get hurt and experience setbacks too.

The past month I’ve suffered from a stress fracture in my foot, tendinitis in my knee, and a muscle strain in my hip. Despite it all , I still went to class and modified my routine.

Yesterday was the the first day I returned to running and it felt GOOD!

So find the thing that keeps you motivated. And realize that any progress is progress that is moving you in the right direction! Make your health a priority! 💪🏼🔥🤩

Who's ready to kick it up a notch?! 🏋️‍♀️

This is not a joke! We have helped coach several older individuals in starting and/or increasing their weight-training program to improve their functional health.

Just 2-3 sessions of resistance exercises can increase muscle strength, which is critical in preventing falls and maintaining mobility. 💪🏼

Strength is the #1 indicator for longevity in older folks. Please keep lifting!

Unfortunately, working in front of a computer is the #1 cause of symptoms that I encounter at my office.

The solution isn't just doing more exercises to alleviate the pain. The solution is watching your sitting posture and taking hourly breaks to prevent the pain from re-occurring.

Just because you don’t hurt now doesn’t mean you aren’t causing stress to your body.

Watch your ergonomics and manage your body's stress levels through exercise and periodic chiropractic treatments.
