Last week, we hosted our Festival of Trees Open House, and it was such a joyful way to celebrate the season! We loved welcoming community groups and showcasing the beautifully decorated trees that filled our space with holiday cheer.

A special congratulations to Tree #12, Lutheran Family Services, which was voted the Festival of Trees winner! 🏆🎄And of course, a big thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Claus for stopping by and spreading extra holiday magic for everyone to enjoy.

Nothing brings the holiday spirit like live music! 🎶 Thank you to the Cedar Bluffs Public Schools Band for visiting our Nye Square campus last week and performing beautiful Christmas songs for our residents. Deck the Halls was a favorite and had everyone smiling!

Please join us in welcoming Kelly Kontor as the new Director of Nursing at Nye Square!

Kelly began her healthcare career right here at Nye Square as a CNA, later becoming a Medication Aide before pursuing her nursing degree. She went on to graduate from Union College in Lincoln and built a strong clinical background in emergency medicine, cardiology, and the ICU.

She continued advancing her leadership skills by earning a master’s degree in Nursing Management and Leadership from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Kelly has also served as a Clinical Coordinator at Nye Legacy and most recently worked as a Heart Failure Care Coordinator with the Methodist Cardiology Clinic.

We are delighted to have Kelly back with the Nye family and look forward to the leadership and compassion she brings to our community!

Please join us in welcoming Erin Stosich as the new Executive Director of Nye Square! Erin’s story with Nye comes full circle — she first joined the Nye family in 2012 as an Occupational Therapist and later served as Director of Rehabilitation. A graduate of the College of Saint Mary, Erin most recently worked with Goodcare AtHome Rehab, supporting assisted and independent living communities throughout Omaha. Erin is known for her heart for residents and her commitment to strong, supportive teams. We are so thrilled to have her back where it all began. Welcome, Erin!
