Citizens of Menifee county, it is with a heavy heart that we share with you the passing of one of our dear family members wife. Andrew has served this community proudly for 4 years and Linda was an avid supporter of him traveling here every week to work. Linda was a beautiful, sweet, caring soul who always had a smile on her face and was always actively involved in her community. She was an amazing wife to Andrew and an incredible mother to their 2 children, Riley and Josh. We miss her dearly and can't comprehend the pain Andrew and their children are enduring. This afternoon at 4:50 p.m., WCSART received a 911 call for a group of lost hikers along the Osborne Bend Trail in Menifee County. A male subject in the group was also experiencing a medical issue and was unable to make the 2-mile walkout after being provided directions remotely. A team member and a volunteer firefighter with Menifee Fire & Rescue, who both live in Menifee County, were dispatched to gain access to the group via an old logging road off Copperas Ridge Road. The group was located along this road and the injured hiker was handed off to Menifee County EMS for treatment at 6:20 p.m.
