Hey! Before you head into your first (full) week of classes, we have a special reminder from Victor E. Bulldog and Services for Students with Disabilities.

We encourage all Fresno State students, staff, and faculty to keep all ADA-approved desks in their designated spots. 🐾❤️⁠

The Fresno State Services for Students with Disabilities hand-places these desks (look for the blue disability badge!) in each classroom to make the classroom accessible to all students who need this extra support.⁠

We encourage faculty and students to please refrain from moving these desks. ⁠
⁠
It would make Victor E. (and everyone on campus!) happy and more productive if you kept them in their respective places. ☺️ ⁠

Our wellness team at the Student Health and Counseling Center was excited to go on a tour with 💚🪴🌱🐛

United by Roots is a go-to space for sustainable gardening education, hands-on learning and opportunities, and community action! They host many events over the year and are community advocates, as well as environmental justice champions! ⭐️🌱🐛🪴

Their goal is to bring people together to cultivate change, one seed, one story, and one action at a time! 💚

We wanted to say thank you to Vee and her team for inviting us for a tour to learn more about their mission and how we can collaborate in making our communities wellness a priority and even better than before! 🥹🌱

Just a friendly reminder that the Fresno State campus, including our center, will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24 - Thursday, Jan. 1. We will reopen at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2nd.❤️ ⁠

After-hours medical advice or counseling is available by calling the main line of the Student Health and Counseling Center at 559.278.2734. Students experiencing a medical emergency should call 911. ⁠

Students experiencing a mental health crisis should call 911, or call or text the Su***de and Crisis Lifeline at 988, or go to Exodus Crisis Stabilization Center (4411 E. Kings Canyon Rd.) in Fresno.

The Magic of Community ✨❄️🎄☃️🎁

Today was a reminder of what we can achieve when we come together. 🫶🏻🎄🎁 In less than TWO hours, our Parent Scholar toy distribution served 122 Parent Scholars and provided holiday gifts for 349 children! 🎁

Beyond the toys, we were able to send families home with over 30 real Christmas trees and 100 chili & cornbread meal kits thanks to our friends at the Student Cupboard. 🥣🎄

While we celebrate this success, we also recognize the growing need. With 1 in 5 college students raising children, our mission to support them is more important than ever. We’re already looking forward to growing this event next year!
