You almost skipped your skin check… but this is exactly why you shouldn’t
During this visit, Dr. Mahin found a spot on her patient’s ear that needed further evaluation, so we performed a shave biopsy.
A shave biopsy is one of the most common procedures we perform. It allows us to quickly and safely sample the skin to check for possible signs of skin cancer.
Here’s what you can expect:
1️⃣ The area is numbed for comfort
2️⃣ The lesion is gently shaved off
3️⃣ Bleeding is controlled and the area is covered with a bandage
