Your spine isn’t just for posture—it’s the communication highway between your brain and body. Misalignments can disrupt nerve signals, leading to headaches, digestive issues, poor circulation, and even weakened immunity. A misaligned neck can trigger migraines, while lower back issues may contribute to sciatica. Chiropractic adjustments can help restore proper alignment, relieving nerve interference and promoting whole-body wellness.

Your brain is constantly changing, and the habits you practice shape how well it functions over time. Studies show that stress and lack of rest can shrink areas of the brain tied to memory and learning, while relaxation and restorative sleep allow those same areas to repair and grow. Choosing foods rich in antioxidants, like blueberries and leafy greens, helps protect brain cells from damage. Gentle daily movement, even a brisk walk, improves circulation and supports sharper thinking. Taking time to breathe deeply, laugh, and connect with others is more than just uplifting, it’s medicine for your brain.

Looks like Dr. Parsons’ cats have mastered the art of rest and relaxation by taking over the whole bed. A good reminder that making space for quality sleep is just as important for us as it is for our pets because true wellness starts with real rest.

Fresno is heading into several days of triple digit heat, and that kind of stress on the body shouldn’t be taken lightly. Dehydration, dizziness, and even heat exhaustion can sneak up faster than you think. Prevention is the best medicine: sip water often, pace yourself, and rest when your body asks for it. Light clothing, shade, and a cool rinse in the evening help your system recover. As we move through this heatwave, remember that honoring your limits isn’t weakness. It’s a natural way to protect your energy, nervous system, and overall health.

Ever wish you could find the “off switch” for a child’s nonstop energy? For many kids, it’s not misbehavior. Their brains are simply running too fast. That’s why they struggle to focus, melt down over homework, or seem impulsive all the time. Imagine how hard it is for a child to feel out of control and constantly corrected.

Often, the root issue isn’t discipline or a need for medication but rather an imbalance in the nervous system that leaves the brain disorganized. That imbalance shows up as ADHD symptoms like hyperactivity, distraction, and meltdowns. The good news is we can actually see what’s happening in the brain and gently restore balance, helping kids feel calm, focused, and confident again.

At Natural Path Health Center, we love helping kids thrive. Curious to learn more?

Back-to-school season can stir up stress for kids and parents alike, and it often shows up in tension, restless sleep, or that constant “on edge” feeling. A simple way to support the body holistically is by caring for the nervous system. Deep breathing before bed, a few minutes of morning movement, or adding calming nutrients like magnesium and B vitamins can help ease that wired-and-tired cycle.

The night before school starts is just as important as the first day itself. A good bedtime routine, turning off screens a little earlier, winding down with a book, and making sure kids get a full night’s rest, can make all the difference in how they handle the excitement (and nerves) of a new year. Rest is nature’s reset button, helping with focus, mood, and energy so they walk into class ready to shine and it’s also a habit that will keep them healthier, sharper, and more balanced all year long.

Shauna is taking the first step toward understanding her brain health with her very first brain map. A brain map is a non-invasive way to measure and record the brain’s electrical activity. It gives us a clear picture of how different areas of the brain are functioning and helps guide a personalized plan for improving focus, mood, sleep, and overall well-being. We’re excited to see where her journey leads.
