A brightly colored Chicana/o themed license plate is now among options available to Coloradans for their cars or motorcycles. The plate features a pair of clasped brown hands with mountains and a bright sunburst sky.

Jose Ortega is the executive director of El Movimiento Sigue, the Pueblo-based organization that will collect the donations required to purchase the special plate.

“It’s about being seen, valued, and respected,” he said. “It’s about the Chicano community and that the pride represents our strength, our history and about being seen authentically.”

Ortega said they’ll use the funds raised by the one-time plate fee to support youth programs around the state. He said the veteranos, the Chicano movement leaders in Colorado, worked for years to make it a reality.

Barrio Private Eye Detective Dee the case of “ Tamale workers intimidated by Trumpas Athletic Supporters”

El barrio, USA: yesterday esta vato Maurice Chevalier a barrio supporter of Esta way Trumpas, intimidated tamale workers at their job by picking with a sign tell them to pack their stuff, we coming after you ! After a few hours of pitching several workers decided to take matters into their own hands and called barrio Detective Dee to talk to this disarrayed person.
But the time Detective Dee arrived Chevalier had already left the area and was reported at another Tamale factory intimidating workers there with a different signing reading “Take your tamale with you from where you came from”. Again, it seemed that Chevalier had beaten Detective Dee once again in leaving the area.
After a few hours Detective Dee and El constable Cadena were able to catch Chevalier at the corner on Wells and third street, where they set up sting tamale operation.
By setting up a this make believe tamale vendor, they were able to catch Chevalier. After his arrest, Chevalier told us que it was very unfair due to this deceptive operation. Charges are pending.

Again, good job Detective Dee barrio private eye!!!
