We're back from vacation and our hearts are full! Today marks three incredible years of working side-by-side as Fresno Birth Midwifery—and we’re ready to step into year three with renewed energy and deep gratitude.

While August 1st is the anniversary of our partnership, both of us—Lacy & Glenna—have been supporting families as midwives for seven years each. That’s 14 years of collective wisdom, love, and unwavering belief in your power to birth your way.

To our past, present, and future clients—thank you for letting us be a part of your journey. Here’s to another year of supporting safe, sacred, and joyful beginnings.

At Fresno Birth Midwifery, family and rest are vital, but midwives must be available 24/7 for new arrivals. To maintain consistent client care, Lacy and Glenna meticulously plan vacations a year ahead.

Lacy recently explored the Body Worlds exhibit during her family vacation, discovering real human bodies preserved through plastination. This unique exhibit enables educational exploration through body donations. Lacy even used the female reproductive organs display to teach midwifery care to her family.

Lacy and Glenna will resume office hours together on August 1st!

Your BMI does not define your ability to grow and nurture life.
⠀
The truth? BMI is a flawed, outdated system that ignores so much of what actually matters in pregnancy—nutrition, mental health, movement, access to support, and compassionate care.⠀
⠀
At Fresno Birth Midwifery, we honor every body and every journey. You deserve respectful, evidence-based care, no matter your size.
⠀
Let’s shift the focus from numbers to nurture:

•Size-inclusive care
•Trauma-informed support
•Pregnancy for every body

Your body just performed a miracle—now it’s time to rest, heal, and be held.

Postpartum herbal baths are a gentle, nurturing way to support your recovery. These warm soaks not only help soothe and heal your physical body but also provide a sacred space to bond with your baby and reconnect with yourself.

Ask us about how we support our clients with healing herbal blends. You deserve this care.

You're 10 centimeters! Time to push!
…or is it?

Did you know you can breathe your baby down instead of immediately pushing? This instinctive, gentle method honors your body’s rhythm and may lead to a smoother, more intuitive birth experience.

At Fresno Birth Midwifery, we support your unique labor journey—whether that includes spontaneous pushing or breathing your baby down.

Trust your body. Trust your breath. Trust birth.

At Fresno Birth Midwifery, we’re here to support you with patience, wisdom, and trust in the natural timing of birth.

At Fresno Birth Midwifery, we know labor is hard work. Your body deserves fuel, comfort, and support to birth your baby with strength.

Let your labor be supported by nourishment — not restriction.

What’s that creamy white stuff on your newborn’s skin? It’s vernix caseosa—and it’s incredible! This naturally occurring substance protects your baby’s delicate skin, supports immune function, and even helps with temperature regulation after birth.

At Fresno Birth Midwifery, we encourage families to delay the first bath so your baby can fully benefit from this amazing natural coating.

Let the vernix soak in—and soak up the magic of your new little one.

A TENS unit might be your new favorite birth tool. This small device offers drug-free relief through gentle electrical impulses—helping interrupt pain signals and release feel-good endorphins.
It’s safe, effective, and gives you more control over your labor experience.

At Fresno Birth Midwifery, we support your choices—including natural tools like the TENS unit.
