🩵 I Am Compassionate 🩵
We all walk a completely unique path and each one of us has a story to share. Every month we highlight a different member of our Team, or a life we impacted, so that we may learn more about each other, and how our journeys became one:
__
Name: Michael Barker.
Occupation: Pilot, Farmer.
Length of Care: Since April 12, 2024.
Why Hospice: Mike began care under Compassionate Care Home Health for treatment of pressure sore(s). Despite interventions, Mike demonstrated ongoing decline, including poor wound healing and reduced functional status. Transition to Compassionate Care Hospice was initiated to focus on comfort, symptom management, and quality of life.
Clinicians love me because: Mike has a warm, engaging personality and enjoys meaningful conversation, often sharing fun facts and life experiences. He is welcoming and open-hearted toward those involved in his care, fostering positive and supportive interactions with the clinical team.
Random Facts about me: Mike is known for his big heart and caring nature. He values every connection he makes and enjoys keeping people in his life, building lasting relationships along the way.
-Narriated by Michael’s wife, Donna Barker.

Thank you, Michael and Donna, for allowing us to share a little of your story with our community. It is truly an honor to walk alongside patients and families through every season of care with compassion, dignity, and support. 🩵
