On March 13th, we hosted our annual Legislative Breakfast, showcasing the incredible work we do at CVRC with our State Legislators, including Assemblyman Dr. Joaquin Arambula who had a chance to tour our dental desensitization clinic. A heartfelt thank you to all the Senate and Assembly office representatives who joined us, as well as our amazing vendors who provide direct support to those served by CVRC.

The morning was filled with inspiring stories, from employees & individuals/families served, meaningful conversations, and delicious food from The Grazing Table.

Thank you to all who helped make this event possible, and those who attended.💙

This March, we recognize Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by celebrating inclusion, access, and community. Everyone deserves to be welcomed, valued, and seen—and to have what they need to participate fully in everyday life.

People with developmental disabilities are neighbors, coworkers, friends, and community members. When barriers are removed and opportunities are accessible, everyone benefits.

Central Valley Regional Center was proud to participate in Grassroots Day at the California State Capitol, an annual event organized by the Association of Regional Center Agencies (ARCA). It's a day that brings together self-advocates, family members, and regional center representatives from across California to connect directly with state legislators and their staff, share personal stories, and advocate for policies that support people with developmental disabilities and their families.

During this event, CVRC had the opportunity to honor Assemblymember DR. Joaquin Arambula for all the great work he has done to help support individuals with intellectual ad developmental disabilities and their families.

CVRC was grateful for the opportunity to elevate the voices of individuals and families and thank the legislators and staff who took the time to meet with our team, including the offices of: Assemblyman David Tangipa, Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria, Assemblyman Dr. Joaquin Arambula, Assemblyman Stan Ellis, Assemblywoman Alexandra Macedo, Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil, Senator Shannon Grove, Senator Anna Caballero, & Senator Melissa Hurtado.

We are excited to share that the upcoming Speak Up: Self-Advocacy Conference 2026 will take place in April for individuals between the ages of 14-26 and live with a disability or challenge. The conference will be offering two weeks full of content created by and for students with disabilities with sessions designed with the self-advocate in mind. We invite you to join us for a friendly and informative community meeting about how CVRC is working to better serve our diverse communities.

At this meeting, CVRC will share information from the Purchase of Service (POS) data for the Fiscal Year 2024–2025 and listen to your thoughts and feedback.

This is a space for you to share your ideas on how CVRC can make its services easier to access and use. Your input is important, and we want to hear from you.
