Heading into the weekend with a few gentle reminders for your teen, for you, or for anyone who needs to hear it:

💙 Life is tough, but so are you.
💚 You can do hard things.
💙 Be kind (to yourself, too).
💚 Be proud of how far you've come.

Progress looks different for everyone. Some weeks feel full of wins. Some feel quiet. Both matter.

If you're wondering whether your teen needs more support than outpatient therapy alone, we're here to help you find the right fit.

Sleep struggles in teens are often more than just late nights. 🌙

Persistent sleep disturbances can sometimes be one of the earliest warning signs that a teen’s mental health may need additional support.

During adolescence, the body’s internal clock naturally shifts later — which can already make consistent sleep challenging. But when sleep problems begin to affect mood, school, or daily life, it may be a signal that something deeper is going on.

Sleep plays a major role in:
• emotional regulation
• stress tolerance
• focus at school
• overall mental health

Parents are often the first to notice when something feels different.

💭 What sleep changes have you noticed in your teen?

Save this post to revisit later, and share it with another parent who may find it helpful.

😴 💭 We often hope we’re handling everything the “right” way…

And yet, some days are harder than others.
Some nights we push our feelings aside, doom-scroll instead of resting,
or feel overwhelmed and unsure how to cope.
And that’s okay.

Even in the midst of struggle, the small steps you take each day matter.

When you notice that trying your best even when things feel heavy… then it is truly you who is showing up. 💙

Parents, this one's for you.

Talking to your teen about eating disorders can feel overwhelming—you don't want to say the wrong thing, and you're not sure how they'll react. But silence is riskier than an imperfect conversation.

This week is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, and in partnership with Oasis Eating Disorders Recovery, we've put together a guide to help you start the conversation with compassion and confidence.

Swipe through the carousel to learn how to open the door without pushing too hard, and when it might be time to seek professional support.

If you're noticing changes in your teen's eating habits, body image concerns, or withdrawal around meals, trust your instincts. Early intervention makes a difference.

We're here to help. Call (559) 550-3978 or visit ascendbh.com to learn more about our treatment options for teens.

Sometimes weekly therapy isn’t enough. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for teens provides structured mental health support several days a week, while your teen continues to live at home and maintain daily routines.

Through individual, group, and family sessions, teens build coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and gain the confidence to navigate everyday challenges.

💙 An outpatient program might be the right fit. Take the first step toward meaningful change.

When something feels off with your teen, it’s okay to pay attention to that feeling. 💚

You know your child best, and noticing subtle changes—like withdrawing from friends, losing interest in things they once loved, or just seeming “off”—can be an important first step toward getting help.

We offer care that meets teens where they are. Our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs provide the kind of consistent, structured support that helps teens heal before things reach a breaking point.

There’s courage in noticing, and even more in taking that next step.

At Ascend, we believe in reminding teens of their strength while also giving them the level of support they truly need. Sometimes once-a-week therapy isn’t enough, and that could be a sign that additional support could be helpful.

Our adolescent programs are designed to meet teens where they are and provide structure, connection, and compassionate care that helps them build confidence, resilience, and hope.

We’re here to offer more than reassurance–we provide support, structure, and a path forward for teens and their families. 💙
