Island Air Maintenance hosted the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce Social last night. It was a great turnout with some excellent barbecue prepared by our own Air Ambulance Operations Manager Josh Jensen! Thanks everyone for stopping by!

We moved into our backup air ambulance plane over the weekend so our main plane, N707WF, can have her 100 hour check up this week. Thank you Island Air Maintenance crew for taking such great care of our assets ensuring we are always in service and available for San Juan County!

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of National EMS Week. This year’s theme is “Honoring Our Past, Forging Our Future.” From the days of Roy Franklin in his Stinson Bushman to Island Air’s state-of-the-art medically equipped Cessna Caravan of today, San Juan County has a rich and unique history in innovative emergency medicine.

To all our amazing EMS partners - San Juan Island EMS, San Juan Island Fire & Rescue, San Juan County Sheriff's Office, Orcas Island Fire and Rescue, and Lopez Fire and EMS, it is an honor and a pleasure to work with you! Island Air Ambulance is a service of Island Air, Inc., which has been providing aviation services to San Juan County for over 25 years. Island Air recently created the Island Air Ambulance Membership Program as an affordable way for island residents and visitors to be sheltered from out-of-pocket costs that could be incurred from the flight portion of an emergency medical transport on one of their fixed wing air ambulance aircraft.
