Did you know Rooted PT makes house calls? Even to other islands! Not a bad way to spend a few minutes while waiting for my ride.

Despite not posting on this page for a while, I have still been busy. 36 weeks later and I finished my goal of running a 5k all at once! Some people might think 36 weeks is too long of a time for such a “short” distance, but I didn’t miss any workouts in that time frame, I could get the workouts done during my lunch break and still had time to eat, and my daughter thinks I am a super hero. For myself personally, if the weekly progressions are too much, then I am likely to quit. So it feels good to be on this side of the finish line. Now on the next goal...

You know what feels glorious? Running in the heat without a shirt! It’s not just for skinny people. Here’s to doing what feels good and to getting a few more miles for . It was fun to pass my parents on my run. 3/4 of the out at once. We might not win but at least we’re moving!

Despite not posting in a while I have been running. I have successfully transitioned to running continuously instead of doing intervals. I am at about 2.3 miles and will slowly be bumping my way up to 3.12 miles. The heat and not being hydrated enough totally kicked my butt today. But it’s worth it as a contributing member of the . We are determined to win the !!

I love this stamp! When I bought this sheet of Dino stamps I didn’t realize the graphics changed; how fun!! It seems like a waste to be using this cool stamp to mail my rent check. Oh well. In slightly more serious news, I ran for 24 minutes straight today! I have been averaging 12 minute miles lately, but today I did it at about an 11 minute mile pace. Don’t know where that came from but I will take it. 🙌🙌🙌

Apparently I forgot that Instagram and Facebook exist this week. I just haven’t even thought about posting my activity wins. I have managed to keep running and walking despite my spill over the weekend. So here we are, the end of week 24. I THINK it will be my last week of intervals and next week I start running straight through. Depends on how I feel. Kind of crazy. Small changes guys, there’s something to it.

My new Goodr sunglasses finally arrived!! I only had to push them up once even with all the sweat during a mid day run. I don’t think one fan is enough today; I legit feel like I am melting, like a snowman under a blowtorch.

Been radio silent for a few days. Due to some off-island traveling I had to push my “Friday” run back to this morning. Even running in the shade in the relative morning coolness, I am still struggling with heat. But just happy to have it done and ready for tomorrow’s progression!

I am learning to love running. Not just the feel of being done at the end of the run, but the actual feeling of moving my ass several miles, with the sweat dripping down my neck, and finding that rhythm with my breath...yeah, I am still not quite all the way to the love stage yet, but I am getting closer. One thing I don’t need to learn to love is this adorable baby butt. 😍😍😍 I love being able to check in on him at night even now that he’s in his own room and not right next to our bed.

Yesterday I didn’t want to run because I was tired, like 3 hours of sleep tired. But my wife convinced me to do it. Supportive people are the best. And in a close second: blackberries picked off the vine as a cool down snack!
