AmeyaCare aims to sell environmentally-friendly, reusable menstruation underwear. By promoting the use of reusable products, we seek to lower the financial burden associated with purchasing menstrual hygiene items in a healthy, sustainable manner. Moreover, for every two packs of underwear sold, the company will then donate a pack to a local women’s shelter. To manufacture the underwear, we have partnered with the Upadesh Vatika Foundation in India, which seeks to employ disenfranchised tribal women and to educate the women on proper menstrual care, as many of them do not have access to feminine hygiene products. Thus, the goal of AmeyaCare is to not only target a major gap in gynecological health, but also to create a way for women to help other women.
