Lexie Medical Updates

Been little bit to update on Lexie Wagenknecht. She has come to a great place with lots of knowledge even if news didnt wanna hear. Alot if things have taken place since her Saturday in way of test and care. This morning she is going to have a procedure to really look and gather anything that appears and/or draws concern within the stomach, Esophagus, Duodenum and pouch (there is going to be a surgery to fix the stricture collapse within the pouch within next couple days and will update on time for that once know more.)

Other concerns found are:
The thyroid has concern with solid mass so test are being done to determine what procedure should be done to that.
Enlarged heart and infection. The plan is to put any other concerns in the the trash once and for all, and get her back to normal living.

suppose it is time to update and ask for prayers for my family as we prepare a road of travel with Lexie Wagenknecht from a 15 day stay at BSA to the Cleveland Ohio Seidman Cancer Center via Angel Flight tomorrow at noon. A decision was made that for now, her sister Micaela Wagenknecht and I will be traveling with her. However, should anything arise, the family will be on flights or drives up.

While this is not a journey we are thrilled for by any means, we are accepting and Thankful and ready for some final answers and a plan to what Lexie is facing of so much. We are hopeful with lots of prayers and great team of doctors, we can get her back on her feet in no time and back to living life with her friends, family, and job that she loves.

I'd also like to ask that you keep not only the twins in prayers as they are missing their mom and just want her well but also for little Ryker as he misses his auntie just as much. Also for PaPa, Gpa, and Uncle Jason for being the rocks of the house.

Just a day in the Life of Unknown.

For everyone who does not know or might know. On December 28, Lex was taken to the hospital due to feeling weak and collapsing while at her sister's; she was then transferred to Amarillo, where she has been since and remains today. Multiple doctors have seen her, and a battery of tests showed her kidneys to be damaged and failing, the pouch inflamed and infected, which explains the inability to output as it should. Lexie underwent a study to see the stomach due to concerns of metastasis. This comes from having an enlarged liver and distal ileum adjacent to the anastomosis measuring up to 6.6 cm, which may represent ileus or partial bowel obstruction, not to mention having multiple and increased lymph nodes and polyps. Upon further investigation, it was noted fluid was draining into the abdomen. However, due to output being slow and few compared to November, it was brought up that she should consider being transferred back to Ohio for further evaluation due to having a unique pouch and disease most do not understand or know much about. At least at Cleveland Clinic Ohio, she will have the means to remain hopeful about keeping the pouch and other concerns with a plan to be healed and feel better before she knows it possibly.

So, for now, we wait patiently for Angel Med Flight to transfer once the bed has opened up while stressing about the means of health but not before drawing concern on things as she is unable to work and support herself and her children at this moment. As the new year begins, so do the new premiums and balances of insurance and bills and the inability to work and meet costs due to being hospitalized and thousands of miles from home.

This poor girl should not be going through this much in such short time and nor shall anyone else. 🙏🏻❤️

We only sometimes see the means of listening to what could be best beneficial to us before it is often too late. We think we have all the answers to what is best for us while trying to pretend everything, no matter what will be okay.
