This is awesome! More states need to realize then importance of food safety for all. It's not just about safe food, its about going on your 1st date without fear of getting sick in front of someone, or making memories with family as celebrate a win on field by going out for a meal. Food is more than just substance it's social, it's memory making, and even Jesus broke bread with his inner circle.

Due to the inconsistent labeling it's exhausting. Can create mistrust and certainty. If it's hard for me as an adult it's harder for me to empower my child as she advocates for herself and others in our village who try to support her.

This! Even when labs and repeated scope look great but still suffering 😢. I pray there's more breakthrough on this as many are told it must be your diet. .you're probably cross contact which leads you to 2nd guess and create more anxiety.

I will continue to fight for my daughter to stand by her and let her know she's not alone. To aid her as much as physically possible. I stand with all the celiacs, it's hard and keep doing your best. Speak up, share what you are going through as you matter. It's not just in your head, it's not just the gf diet.

Heads up PepsiCo has phased out Doritos Simply White Cheddar and introduced Doritos Simply White Cheddar NACHO, which is no longer designated as gluten-free.

Yep another reason to keep diligent on reading labels and checking packaging as it can be a simple repackaging or a total new recipe.

Don't just assume they are the same just "updated"

When you have instant connection at a restaurant because the server "gets it" as they have a loved one with celiac!

A special meal with my kiddos, turned into another positive moment and recommendations for more local restaurants to try.

When you meet someone in the "celiac club" there's a bond, we look out for each other, share ideas and experiences. Plus it helps our littles to practice advocating for themselves.

Hurricane Helene’s massive destruction across the Southeast has left hundreds of thousands of people relying on food distribution and other emergency services.

Members of the celiac and gluten free community are especially vulnerable during times of crisis. That’s why our Feeding Gluten Free program is here.

We were able to identify Hunger & Health Coalition, Inc. - a food pantry that works with RDs in Boone, NC. We confirmed that there are passable roads in for delivery, and through our Feeding Gluten Free program we were able to purchase lots of gluten free foods for their patrons! We are grateful to be able to help in times when we are needed most. 💛

Those that have celiac knows it can be hard to be spontaneous. Safe gluten free options isn't something you can have on a whim it's a must for celiac warriors. However with the help of a an app and word of mouth it makes it a little easier.

Let me share one of our new favorites that we discovered last year when visiting friends at Metamora 🏕 campsite and again this year as we met family at the beach.

Bailey's Ice Cream & Smokehouse was our saving grace. Both times we visited we were treated with smiles and grace as I asked all the safe "gluten-free" questions. The staff was helpful. They know allergy protocol in both the ice cream and BBQ.

My daughter was just another kid making summer memories with her family. She enjoyed her superman ice cream and sharing loaded fries and nachos... she even fought us for the leftovers 😜We will definitely be back.

Thank you Bailey's for training your staff, finding those that love what they do and making a difference in the lives of those with celiac.

All above has happened to us over the last week as out of town participating in a wedding with our whole family. Celiac Disease, and food didn't control our weekend.
