Our Story

Snake River Dermatology was founded as an outreach clinic from the Dermatology Clinic of Idaho by Gerald G. Overly, MD, in 1979 in Ontario, Oregon. Dr. Overly founded the Dermatology Clinic of Idaho in 1978 and provided expert dermatology care to the Treasure Valley for over 40 years.

Dr. Overly moved his Ontario practice to Fruitland in 1994 and the practice was purchased in 2012 by his son-in-law, Brock A Andersen, MD, who changed the name to Snake River Dermatology as the practice sits a few hundred yards from the Snake River on Idaho’s western border. Dr. Overly was well loved by his patients and we strive to live up to the example set by him of professionalism, and genuine concern for his patients. We serve a large area with patients coming from as far west as La Grande, OR and as far north as McCall, Idaho, including the communities of Ontario, Payette, Baker City, Council, Weiser, Caldwell, Pendleton, Vale, New Plymouth, Middleton, Nampa, Star, Emmett, Parma, Homedale, Notus, Adrian, and Nyssa.
