“You could all learn a thing or two about loyalty and gentleness from them.” Carol says about the joy pets bring to life, as her days were filled with doting on her cats. From the quiet town of Gordon, Nebraska, Carol brings her small-town heart to everything she does. Her world has always been centered on family, and a love for animals, finding joy in Sunday drives, laughter with her grandkids, and simple moments of connection.

Now, at Edgewood Spring Creek Fruitland Carol continues to share that same warmth and kindness with everyone she meets. You’ll find her dancing at social gatherings, soaking up the sunshine in the flower beds, simply spreading joy with her smile, and of course, talking about animals.

Residents like Carol bring something truly special to a senior living community. Their life experiences, passions, and personalities add depth and inspiration to every interaction. It’s not us teaching them, but them teaching us. Carol has shown us patience, laughter, empathy, and the beauty of appreciating life’s simple joys, making every day richer for everyone around her.
