The Miranda Leavitt Diabetes Fund was established in 2008 by Brenda and Richard Leavitt of Fryeburg, Maine, in honor of their daughter Miranda Maria Leavitt. Miranda, diagnosed at the age of 13 with Type 1 diabetes, passed away at the age of 22 from diabetes complications. Miranda left as her legacy her desire to help educate, assist and fund those who needed assistance managing their diabetes. Mi

randa's fund is administered by White Mountain Community Health Center in Conway, NH. Education is also provided in communities serving over 15,000 people by way of providing testing for diabetes, education in the schools and communities on prevention of Type 2 diabetes and more.
