🚀The future of surgery and healthcare came to life at our recent Technology, Innovation, and Compassion Physician Panel where we discussed the latest developments in robotic surgery and technology at Providence St. Jude Medical Center.

A special feature of the evening was the latest da Vinci 5 surgical system, where guests had the unique opportunity to take it for a test run! This marvel of robotics will revolutionize surgery with key improvements like the introduction of force feedback technology, improved 3D imaging, and enhanced ergonomics for surgeons. For patients, access to these technologies means minimally invasive procedures, less pain, and significantly faster recovery time.

Generous donors enabled Providence St. Jude to acquire the previous generation da Vinci systems, and many of them attended this special event to see what could be in store for the future.

We’re proud to share that Manu and Rika Shah, co-founders of MSI —a leading North American supplier of flooring, countertops, wall tile and hardscaping products—have made a transformational philanthropic gift to Providence St. Jude Medical Center to establish the Shah Happiness Center for Cardiovascular Health. This visionary investment will expand access to advanced cardiovascular care, support innovative treatment programs and help meet the growing demand for heart health in our community.

For Manu Shah, this gift is deeply personal—25 years of expert care at Providence St. Jude following a heart attack inspired a legacy of gratitude and giving. As the Shahs beautifully shared, “Success was never just about what we could achieve—it was about how we could uplift others along the way.”

The Shah Happiness Center for Cardiovascular Health will support five high-impact focus areas:

• Caregiver education

• Community health programs

• Lifesaving technology

• Preventative cardiology care

• Recovery and rehabilitation

Our friends at Century 21 Discovery in Fullerton recently hosted their 29th Annual Celebrate Giving Event. Since its inception, they have raised over $500,000, which has been donated to various charities across North Orange County. Providence St. Jude Medical Center is honored to be one of the recipients of these generous funds. Joe Lins, Owner and CEO of Century 21 Discovery, joined our Providence St. Jude Leadership Team to present a check, which was gratefully accepted by Laura Ramos, Chief Executive, and Dub Drees, Chief Philanthropy Officer. We are beyond thankful for the long-time support of our friends at Century 21 Discovery!
