Did you know there are LEVELS of BURNOUT? Where might you be? ⬇️
Each stage influences cortisol levels, neurotransmitters, hormone and metabolism differently, and the higher the level of stress—the more support your body will need to recover.
☄️1️⃣ ALERT AF! This is tapping into your inner boss babe that wants to get s**t done and slay those deadlines. Hello cortisol & adrenaline! FYI, this stage might actually feel temporarily good, & go unnoticed, but being here for too long can eventually lead to LEVEL 2...
☄️2️⃣ PUSHING THROUGH! That wired yet tired feeling that you can’t seem to shake. Your body has been under stress for some time & it’s harder to fight fatigue and get into deep rest now. This can look like afternoon energy crashes, trouble falling/staying asleep, body aches, and coffee pot dependency.
☄️3️⃣ FEELING DEFEAT! You’re anxiously pushing through, but keep hitting a wall. It’s harder to shake off morning fatigue, brain fog, irritability, there’s poor muscle recovery (aches/pains), crashing after exercise, salt/sugar cravings. Coffee doesn’t even seem to do anything!
☄️4️⃣ EXHAUSTED AF! Getting through the day is an uphill battle & you feel numb. Symptoms can look like heart palpitations, dizziness, hair loss, weight gain (esp the “stress belly”), and anxiety/depression as cortisol output and neurotransmitters have now tanked due to chronically high cortisol stress.
