That was a wrap for National Nursing Home Week, folks! We rolled out the blue suede shoes for the one and only Elvis, and let me tell you, he was a real hit. The residents craved pizza, and we delivered. Staff and residents have had a blast this week. Thanks to all the departments that pitched in to make this week a success!

Another busy day, but we had so much fun at our county fair. The Haffey family brought their gentle rabbits and goats, and residents loved how soft and cuddly they were. We had fun games with some neat prizes. The food was exactly what you would expect at a fair: cotton candy, corn dogs, popcorn, and fresh lemonade. It was all a hit. Thank you again to everyone who helped make today another fun and successful event.

We literally blew the roof off this afternoon and danced the afternoon into pure chaos. Ron Cottom from Arden Hospice knows exactly how to get residents busting a move. Thanks for dropping by and shaking things up with us. The therapy department, along with Anna and JR, put on a show that was ridiculously over the top. The energy in the room was absolutely infectious. Thanks for all the hard work and time that went into making this day truly unforgettable. Videos in comments!!!

What a day it's been for National nursing home week - we've gone totally retro with a 70's theme and lost our minds, apparently. This morning's DIY lava lamp extravaganza was just the warm-up, but the real fun was the Photo Booth fiesta this afternoon that residents and staff are still giggling about. Despite the rainy weather, our ladies' outing was a resounding success, thanks to a wonderful day filled with inspiring devotion by Bro. Randy Spencer, followed by an uplifting musical performance by Jenna Rodgers and her talented children, Naomi, Miriam, Selah Grace, Elijah, and Lottie Beth, who were accompanied by Dedra Thomas on the piano. We had delicious lunch from Chick-fil-A and Keith Knight's famous banana pudding. The event also featured engaging games, resulting in the guests departing with gifts. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the event's success and to TFB for graciously allowing us to use their life center.
