We made it through our week of camping activities without too much chaos. They got to tap into their secret artistic selves with some rock painting and were completely obsessed. Our staff/resident scavenger hunt was utter madness, but everyone had an amazing time. Last night's hobo dinner was a gigantic hit and they loved chowing down by the fire.

So far it has been a ridiculously busy week. We decided to do some camping theme activities because why not? We have played marshmallow toss and it brought a ton of laughs. Today we played camping bingo and the prize was a whistle because who doesn't love a good whistle? The staff was thrilled to hear everyone coming. This afternoon we built s’mores and listened to a camp story. Tomorrow is another fun day so stay tuned.

The best way to beat the heat during shark week is water and lots of it. We had a fun day with a dunking booth, pools, water balloons, water guns and car wash sprinkler. Gentiva Hospice joined in on the fun with tasty snowcones, water guns and making sure we got absolutely soaked in the car wash inflatable. Thanks for serving all our residents and staff in this heat. Everyone had a blast and it was a great day.

Shark Week is in full swing, and we're having a whale of a time! We crafted a Tw***ie submarine - because, well, why not? - and then gobbled it up. This morning we got a visit from Ron Cottom at Community Hospice, and this afternoon we chomped on popcorn while watching Jaws. It's been a wild ride, and we're just getting started - tomorrow's gonna be even more jaws-droppingly good.
