Wednesday day three of Assisted Living week.
Today was 50’s Day:
This morning we started off with then and now and
The Price Is Right. We had quite a few that had close to the correct answers with prices in 1950 and were very surprised on what the prices of those things are today !!!! This afternoon We were treated by Gentiva Hospice with Banana Splits with all the toppings !!! Thank you girls they were delicious !!!

Well folks it’s that time of the year again, the time everyone of us can be silly and have a whole week of smiles, and some even came out of that shell some and let loose and danced a little !! Assisted Living Week 2025 theme is “Ageless Adventures”. We are blessed to have a good many residents that have been though quite a few ALF weeks so what better than poll the crowd and see what was the best ones from past memories!! We’ll follow along as we welcomed our new family to the fun !!!

Assisted Living Week, Wednesday afternoon
The Residents have been asking when we were gonna get the water guns back out ???? WELL, They asked and we did !!!! We pulled out the tents, filled up the swimming pools and bought out the water guns and balloons !!!!! I don’t know who had the more fun….the staff or the residents soaking the staff !!! We were so thankful we beat the weather !!

Assisted Living week. Day three: we celebrated at lunch with our annual cookout with hamburgers hotdogs and all the fixings !!! Everything was so good A big THANKYOU to Gentivia’s crew for desserts and cooking !!!! It takes a village to get it all together but we sure do have a great work family and great friends that go over and beyond !!!!!

National Assisted Living Week 2024
Inspiring Generations
Day three, 10:00 am
Today has been such a fun day, we told our resident’s we were going back to our younger years
And thats exactly what we did! We started out our day with Games of the past jacks, marbles, Old Maid,
Pick up Sticks, Chinese Checkers, Checkers, Dominoes, and of course a favorite of some SkipO…
We had so much fun, we could have had a little bit of cheating going on at times but not saying it was residents or staff 😂. They have requested we put this on calendar more so we sure will !!!!!!

Everyone swaying to a Little Doo-wop music playing while we enjoyed our Vanilla or chocolate milkshakes. Today’s theme was 1950’s so we started off our day with our sweet residents wanting to pass on a little advice to the younger Generations. We had such a great time sharing and discussing each one of our past and different lives !! Oh what we can learn if we just ask and listen 🥰

Monday part 2. “Rocking with the Ages” was our 2:00 pm Activity, Community Hospice came out to help us tip toe through the ages with fun music from all the different years of great songs that we all have enjoyed in the past as everybody danced, clapped and sang we shared all the great finger food the staff brought and served !! THANK YOU staff for showing out everything was delicious! and a BIG THANK YOU RON AND COMMUNITY HOSPICE ❤️

This year’s Theme is a very easy one to plan and have fun with. At Charleston we have different age’s in our family so it doesn’t matter what we are doing there is always laughing and fun !!! So come along this week to enjoy our week with us !!!!
