💠 Don't miss your next appointment! With our new electronic health record and patient portal system, phone call reminders for appointments are NO LONGER available!

Make sure to "opt in" for text message and/or email appointment reminders...this can be completed during check-in/admitting, with your provider's receptionist, or in MyChart. You can also call our CGH MyChart Help Desk at (815) 564-4004.

To opt-in for appointment reminders in MyChart:

• Log in to your MyChart account. (If you do not have a MyChart account, visit www.cghmc.com/mychart to sign up)

• Navigate to the "Menu," then "Settings".

• Find and select "Communication Preferences".

• Make sure your mobile phone number is listed as a contact method.

• Find the option for text messages and turn the toggle on (button will turn green)

• Save your changes.

REMINDER: When coming to appointments, be ready to show your insurance cards and bring a current list of all medications. We are doing our best to make this transition as smooth as possible. Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we all learn this new system!

By moving to Epic, we are unifying our hospital and clinic systems into a single, integrated platform - eliminating the need for separate patient portals and streamlining your access to health information.

During today's Growing Healthier/Ask Us Anything Facebook Live event, Dr. Bill Bird is joined by Jolee Parks-Gruhn (Director of Health Informatics). Together, they discuss the advantages and features of the new system - set to launch November 2, 2025 - where you will be able to message your care team, schedule visits, view test results, refill prescriptions, and more!

CGH hosted an open house and ribbon cutting yesterday to celebrate the recent hospital lobby renovations. The event also recognized the installation of the new CGH Health Foundation Donor Wall. Guests enjoyed refreshments, explored the updated spaces, and took part in the ribbon cutting ceremonies.

Did you know that even if you already have the MyChart app with another healthcare facility you still need to connect with us? Think of MyChart as a file cabinet that you can use to keep folders in for each healthcare facility. 📂🗄

Here are some other frequently asked questions we've received about MyChart:

💠 How do I activate my account?
Visit www.cghmc.com/mychart. While going through the steps to sign up for your MyChart account, you will be asked to verify your identity through a third-party verification process and also to set up two-step verification on your account. If either of these steps do not work, or if you need to make changes to your contact information, please contact the CGH MyChart Help Desk at (815) 564-4004.

💠 When will all of the MyChart features be available?
All features of MyChart will be available on November 2 when we go-live with our full Epic electronic health record throughout the hospital and clinics.

💠 Is my hospital and clinic information all on one account?
Yes, your hospital and clinic information is all on one account (combining and replacing the previous MyAccess accounts). You will need to make a new user name and password for your new CGH MyChart account.

🎀 It’s Mammo Gras time! 🎉 ALL area women - regardless of income or insurance coverage - can get a NO COST 3D screening mammogram at CGH...and earn your "Beads for Bravery"! Early detection saves lives! 💕

Walk-ins welcome Monday through Thursday, 10 am to 3 pm, or you can call ahead for a regular or same-day appointment at (815) 625-3610.

Current guidelines recommend that women at average risk begin screening at age 40 and continue annually through age 74. If you have a higher risk, your provider may recommend starting sooner or screening more often.

Screening mammograms are funded by the CGH Health Foundation. If additional testing is needed after your screening, financial assistance may also be available.
