šŸšŸ˜³ No coach. No sponsors. No fancy gear.
Just 14 hours of walking through the rugged Tarahumara mountains — and Candelaria Rivas Ramos crossed the finish line in first place.
This extraordinary runner from Chihuahua, Mexico, stunned the world at the 2025 Canyon Ultra Marathon, winning the brutal 63-kilometer race in 7 hours and 34 minutes.

She came alone.
No team.
No tennis shoes — just traditional huaraches on her feet, and a flowing skirt that spoke of her roots. šŸŒ„šŸ‘£

Candelaria didn’t just battle altitude, exhaustion, and the scorching terrain.
She ran against a system that often overlooks those without funding, coaching, or exposure.

And still —
She won. šŸ†

Her victory isn’t just athletic — it’s cultural.
It’s about resilience.
It’s about Indigenous pride.
It’s about showing the world that strength doesn’t come from privilege…
It comes from within. šŸ”„šŸŖ¶

Your body is your forever home. Treat it with care. Nourish it. Move it. Strengthen it. Too often, people fear aging—but what they should fear is neglecting themselves. Exercise isn’t just about looking good; it’s about preserving the quality of your life.

Studies show that regular movement keeps the mind sharp, strengthens the heart, and even increases longevity. But beyond science, it’s about how you feel—about waking up with energy, about carrying yourself with strength, about showing up for yourself every single day.

It’s never too late to start. And it’s always worth it to invest in your future self. So, tell me—what’s one small step you can take today toward a healthier you? Let’s inspire each other in the comments. šŸ‹ļøā€ā™‚ļøšŸ’™

Correction is not criticism.
I played for a great high school coach and I would constantly get asked how I handled him ā€œyellingā€ at me. He wasn’t yelling at me. He was holding me to a higher expectation because he knew my goals. We live in a generation where if a coach yells at you, you take it personally and want to quit. Most of the time a coach is yelling at you because they see something in you that you don’t even see yet. To this day I am so grateful I was pushed and coached the way I was.
Be worried when your coach stops talking to you.

Kudos to Tara Dower for setting an extraordinary record as the fastest person ever to complete the Appalachian Trail! The 31-year-old from Virginia conquered the 2,168-mile (3,489 km) rugged backcountry trail in an astounding 40 days, 18 hours, and 5 minutes—far quicker than the typical 5 to 7 months it takes a traditional thru-hiker.

To achieve this remarkable feat, Dower averaged 54 miles per day, navigating the often steep and rocky terrain with a total elevation gain of 465,000 feet across fourteen states. Her day began at 3:30 am and stretched for roughly 17 hours, punctuated by quick meals and brief ā€œdirt napsā€ lasting 90 seconds each.

Dower used her run to raise funds for Girls on the Run, sharing her hope that her achievement will inspire girls and women. ā€œI want more women to get out there,ā€ she expressed. ā€œIt’s not about beating men, it’s about tapping into our true potential. If you beat the men, that's just a bonus.ā€ Upon completing her journey on a Saturday night, she fell to her knees in awe and placed her hands on the bronze plaque that reads, "A footpath for those who seek fellowship with the wilderness."
