When it comes to pregnancy, birth, parenting, and breastfeeding, we often hear, “Nobody told me…” We’re here to change that—by reminding you that you’re not alone and that many of the unspoken experiences are absolutely normal.

If you'd like more information on DMER, you can find that here: https://llli.org/news/what-is-d-mer/

[Image Description] Photo of baby feet overlaid with text that reads, "Nobody Told Me... I could feel sad when feeding. Some parents experience feelings of sadness when their milk lets down. It's often temporary, but may show up each feeding. This is called Dysmorphic Milk Ejection Reflex (DMER).” The La Leche League USA logo is in the lower right corner.

Let’s talk about nausea 🤍

One of our clients has experienced hyperemesis gravidarum with several of her pregnancies. Over the years, she’s tried prescribed medications, has experienced hospitilizations, and had multiple other interventions—none of which brought real relief. Each time, she felt as though she had to simply endure it.

Now, in her 7th pregnancy, she discovered something unexpectedly simple: nausea bands. The change was immediate. Relief she hadn’t felt before—almost instantly.

What’s especially frustrating and honestly disapointing, is that this option was never mentioned by any of her providers. She happened to find the bands in a pregnancy gift box, tried them, and has deemed them a lifesaver.

It’s one of those things you don’t know about until you do—and once you do, you wish you’d known sooner. We wanted to share this here in case even one person finds the relief they’ve been searching for. If you’re struggling, you’re not alone, and sometimes the smallest tools can make a big difference.

Im gonna link our reccomendation in the comment ⬇️⬇️⬇️

If you have anything that has worked wonders for you please share below as well!!

With a major winter storm potentially affecting dozens of states, we recognize the concerns many have about stored milk.

Updated to add: A stand alone freezer will maintain temperature for 48 hours in a power outage if unopened. A freezer compartment within a fridge will maintain temperature for 24 hours if unopened.

[Image Description] Photo of a wintery scene. Text on top reads, "Power outage? Worried about your frozen milk? Try to keep the freezer door completely shut while power is out. Once power is restored, check to see if there are any ice crystals that remain in the bags. If there are any frozen ice crystals at all, it may be refrozen." The La Leche League USA logo is below the text.

Postpartum Support 💕 So important, so underutilized! . .
There are few things more crucial in the early weeks & months than an extra set of hands. Experience in the twists & turns of normal newborn changes. Knowledge in the postpartum healing process. Eyes full of love for a mother and all she & her body are doing. . .
Postpartum period can seem like such a gray area, and so hidden from the hustle of daily life. I think postpartum support can come off the same way. So here's some "black-and-white"s about my postpartum services:

🍁 I charge an hourly rate.
☕I can come to you as early as 5am, stay as late as 10pm.
🛁Available any day of the week, for up to 8 continuous hours.
🍲Specific services can be arranged ahead of time, or spontaneous! Some options include: meal prep, newborn care, feeding support, light housework, mother self-care, processing birth.

This service is most ideal for the early PP weeks, or when a partner has to go back to work and another support person is needed. . .
Doula support centers women and mothers in their care. We know that when the mother is taken care of, the whole household does better. Consider investing in the support of a doula beyond the birthing experience and into early motherhood!
