Smart Local 36 Central Missouri is looking to add multiple Sheet Metal Estimators to our team.

Prior experience in estimating is a plus but not required.
Estimator duties and skills include:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Web-enabled applications, and database software.
* Good understanding of contract plans and specifications.
* Ability to maintain attention to detail while completing various and repetitive tasks.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret bid documents and blueprints.
* Ability to accurately tabulate ductwork and equipment quantities from drawings and suppliers.
* Ability to determine scope of work and required content of a complete estimate.
* Effective communication to collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients.

Local 36 Sheetmetal Workers out of Central Missouri is looking for traveling welders. Pay depends on experience. We have full family health insurance, pension, 401k and a medical reimbursement retirement. Anything worked over 8 hours is time and a half, Saturdays is time and a half, and Sundays is double time. Local 36 of Central Missouri is looking for Welding/Fabricators in the Industrial field.
Welder Fabricator Duties and Responsibilities
• Fabricate and manufacture metal parts
• Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output
• Produce strong, clean welds
• Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds
Welder Fabricator Requirements and Qualifications
• Prior experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
• Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
• Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols
A Journeyperson’s, taxable wage is $35.10. With a total package of $56.69 that includes family health insurance with dental & vision, pension fund, and 401k. Annual pay increases are in July.
Apprentices get raises every thousand hours worked.

On Monday Smart Local 36 was pleased to have seven students from the Missouri Works Initiative come and visit our training facility. The students were able to tour the facility to see the different aspects of work we do, then they got first-hand experience by building their very own toolboxes.

Local 36 Sheetmetal Workers would like to welcome everyone to the 34th Annual Bass Classic. All registrations will need to be turned in by May 1st. Every team must have at least one Local 36 member.
This tournament is always a good time. We cant wait to see everyone there.

Smart local 36 did their annual toy drive. We would like to thank everyone who was able to help with donating toys. The Cole County Emergency Medical Services is in there third year of doing the toys for tots. They had a goal of collecting 40 boxes of toys. We was able to donate 9 of the 29 boxes they have collected this year already.
