Your August 2025 Employee of the month is! James Pittman is a FRSI in NFC Security. James is friendly and always has a smile on his face and knows no stranger. He’s cultivated wonderful rapports with all the patients he serves, and the staff he works with. James’ upbeat attitude is contagious, and he never shies away from good conversation or song. He’ll pitch in and assist whenever needed and is pretty good at singing too! He is always willing to go above and beyond to help whenever needed. He is a valuable asset to the security and FSH. He is a great mentor to new staff and a wealth of knowledge to anyone needing assistance here at FSH. James’ upbeat attitude and charisma makes him a joy to be around and work with. We appreciate all his efforts and are glad he’s chosen to work here at FSH. Thank you, James for all you do!

The Fulton State Hospital Foundation is excited to announce the first annual “Mental Health Matters” speech contest, open to all 5th-8th graders attending school in Callaway County. The contest will be held in late February 2026, with cash prizes for all winners. Details will be forthcoming. Continuing our mission of education and the destigmatization of all matters related to mental health. Questions regarding this are welcome.

Your July 2025 Employee of the month is..............Shauna Landin. She is an incredible team player that always goes above and beyond to keep the momentum going. Shauna began her journey here at FSH as an FRS, then quickly advanced to FRS 2, then on to a TSW for Rehab Services, and now shines as a Support Care Professional (SCP) in SORTS. Shauna has taken on so many more duties in her newest role, but you will often still find her on the wards interacting with clients, assisting or running Rehab groups, training new rehab and SCP staff, and just jumping in wherever she is needed most. With all Shauna’s experience in SORTS holding various positions over the years, she has gained a great deal of knowledge around the program and knows the ins and outs of the program; someone that can be counted on to give you the information you need to do your job. Shauna’s compassion and understanding shine through in her interactions with both coworkers and clients. She is always trying to do more to make the everyone’s day easier. She is a coworker that can be counted on to do her best every single day. Her quick wit and generous spirit can light up a room, making her more than a coworker – Shauna is truly an amazing friend to many of us! Shauna absolutely deserves her dedication to be recognized.

Please help us congratulate our June 2025 Employee of the month! Tracey Wolfmeier began her career at Fulton State Hospital as a Food Service worker in 2020. Tracey than recently moved to Enviromental Services in March of 2024. Tracy has started cleaning the hope center & office areas and its very obvious she takes great pride in her work. This is a big space that is used by LOTS of people in NFC. She is ALWAYS looking to improve the cleanliness of the area to make it better. You never see her not cleaning something when she is here. She is geared to customer service and always has a friendly smile. We APPRECIATE you!
