Wellness Wednesday!
Do you know your Vitmain D level?
Here are common signs and symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency:
🦴 1. Bone Pain or Muscle Weakness
Vitamin D helps with calcium absorption; low levels can lead to aching bones or weakness, especially in legs, hips, and back.
😴 2. Fatigue or Tiredness
Persistent tiredness, even with adequate sleep, can be linked to low Vitamin D levels.
🤕 3. Frequent Illness or Infections
Vitamin D supports the immune system. Deficiency may increase susceptibility to colds, flu, or respiratory infections.
😔 4. Depression or Mood Changes
Low Vitamin D is associated with mood disorders like depression, especially seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
🧓 5. Slow Wound Healing
Cuts or bruises that heal slowly may indicate low Vitamin D levels, affecting inflammation control and infection fighting.
🦷 6. Dental Problems
Deficiency may lead to dental issues like brittle teeth, cavities, or gum disease due to weakened enamel.
💪 7. Muscle Cramps or Twitching
Calcium regulation is affected by Vitamin D, which can cause muscle cramps, spasms, or twitching.
🧬 8. Hair Loss
Severe deficiency may contribute to hair thinning or loss, sometimes linked to autoimmune conditions like alopecia areata.
