Exercise is powerful medicine, especially during and after cancer treatment.

New research from the New England Journal of Medicine shows that cancer patients who followed a structured, personalized exercise program for three years saw a 37% improvement in survival rates and a 28% decrease in recurrence compared to those receiving standard care.

At TherapySouth, we believe exercise is an essential part of oncology care. Our physical therapists work with you to create an individualized plan to restore strength, function, and quality of life after cancer treatment.

Meet Christine, staff spotlight of the week!

Christine received her degree from The University of South Alabama and has been working as a physical therapist for 25 years, 10 of those with us at TherapySouth!

Christine is married with 3 children and a yellow lab, Rocket. She enjoys cooking, gardening, pilates, and supporting the Bragg and Gardendale High School Rockets!

Christine enjoys working with patients with neurological conditions, including balance and vestibular rehab. She is a 7 yr colon cancer survivor which led her to specialize in pelvic health therapy. Whether you’re dealing with low back pain, pelvic pain, or trying to feel your best during and after pregnancy, pelvic health physical therapy can help reduce pain, improve core stability, and reduce overall weakness of the pelvic floor.

We are excited to offer Pelvic Health PT to the North Jefferson County Area!
