Day 5// still working on self care! Teaching kids to tie shoes can be overwhelming for some. There are so many skills that go into tying shoes. Motor planning, visual perceptual, bilateral coordination, sequencing, planning, executing and so much more. This is a great way to break down the task for a kiddo to have them begin to work on these skills and still be successful!

October is AAC Awareness Month! 💜

Augmentative and Alternative Communication ranges from high tech to low tech- from facial expressions to speech generating devices and all communication forms are valid! Whether it’s through words, gestures, symbols signs, or high tech devices- we all deserve to be heard!

Let’s raise awareness, break barriers, and spread the message that communication is a human right.
