EXCITING NEWS FOR MY MASSACHUSETTS CLIENTS!
(Email sent last week, check your inbox or spam folder)

Hello!

It’s been a while since I’ve reached out from down here in North Carolina — and I have BIG news…

LINDA KASS, LMBT THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE THERAPY IS MOVING BACK TO MASSACHUSETTS THIS SUMMER!

Yes, you read that right! I’m bringing my therapeutic massage practice back home to the North Shore — permanently. The exact location and timing are still being finalized and I couldn’t be more excited.

If you’ve been thinking about returning to therapeutic work, prioritizing your self-care again, or simply reconnecting — this is your sign. I can’t wait to get to work supporting your strength, healing, and wellness.

It would truly be my honor to welcome you back to my table and reestablish the connection we built during your self-care journey. And if life has taken you elsewhere or you’ve found another provider, please know I’m so grateful for the time we shared.

If you’d like to reconnect, email me at Linda@lindakasslmbt.com or call/text 508-320-7294. If you’d prefer to be removed from future emails, just let me know.

I am beyond excited to be coming home 😊

Stay well, and I hope to see you very soon!
Linda

Important Update for my North Carolina clients:

Hello,

I hope this email finds you well. With the first day of spring almost upon us, I have some important news to share.

It is with truly mixed emotions that I’m writing today. My family and I have decided to move back to Massachusetts this summer. While we have enjoyed our time here in North Carolina, Massachusetts has always been home. As the saying goes, home is where the heart is—and for us, our hearts are there.

This decision has not been easy, especially because of the incredible people I’ve had the privilege of working with here. Being part of your wellness journey, supporting your healing, and building the relationships we’ve shared has meant more to me than I can fully express. I am deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me over the last three years.

I know this news may leave you wondering about timing. While I do not have an exact end date yet, I anticipate sometime in late June. As soon as I have a confirmed date, I will let you know. Until then, I will continue seeing clients, and you are welcome to schedule appointments online or by texting me directly.

If you have a gift certificate, or have given one to someone, please try to use it before I leave. If that isn’t possible, I will gladly issue a refund to the purchaser.

As my departure gets closer, I will also share a list of other trusted providers so you have excellent options for continuing your care.

Until then, I am still here and would truly love the chance to see you a few more times before I go. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your health and wellness. It has been an honor.
Stay tuned for further updates as summer approaches. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Stay well,
Linda

Massage therapy has so many benefits, enhanced mood is just one of them.

Do you have muscle aches and pains that need to be addressed? Do you need relaxation? Do you suffer from headaches, low back pain, or neck pain? Depression or anxiety? Poor circulation?

All of these and so much more can be addressed with the help of a highly skilled, qualified Massage Therapist.

I happen to be just that! I have the skills and knowledge to help you through any issues in your tissues. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in two states. I hold a Personal Training Certificate through ACE Fitness, a nationally accredited agency, and am a Reiki Level 2 practitioner. I am an avid fitness enthusiast and most likely have at one point had the very ache or pain you seek relief from.

Personally, I also love getting relaxation massages and I offer those as well! Complete with hot towels and warm
Himalayan Salt Stones.

I offer new clients $10 off the first session. Refer a friend and you receive $15 off your next session.
I accept HSA/FSA cards.

All treatments and modalities used are included, there are no add-on fees or up-charges.

So, are you ready?? Book online or reach me directly with any questions!

This is so fascinating, and very relevant to my work as a massage therapist. When you are on my table, your body is telling me much more than you realize.

Your Body Remembers What Your Childhood Nervous System Felt

Researchers are showing us something profound: our bodies remember the shape of our childhood nervous systems. Far beyond “just memories in the mind,” the nervous system holds patterns of safety, fear, and connection from our earliest years, and these echoes remain imprinted into adulthood.

One of the strongest studies to demonstrate this comes from the Dunedin Birth Cohort in New Zealand (Gehred et al., 2021). This landmark research followed individuals from birth into midlife and found that childhood adversity leaves long lasting signatures in brain structure. Adults who had experienced stress and trauma in childhood showed measurable differences across multiple brain regions, differences that were not explained away by adult life stress. In other words, the nervous system itself “remembers” early life.

Complementary work by Berens et al. (2017, BMC Medicine) describes this process as the biological embedding of childhood adversity. They outline how early experiences shape stress hormones, immune responses, and even epigenetic expression, meaning the body literally calibrates itself to what it encountered in those formative years. Later research has also pointed to the extracellular matrix, the web of connective tissue around our cells, as part of this memory system. It stabilises circuits, holds biochemical cues, and can even lock in patterns of regulation or dysregulation.

What does this mean for us? It means our anxiety, our digestion, our heart rhythms, even our immune responses may still be echoing the childhood environment we grew up in. And it also means healing is not only about the present moment, it is about compassionately tending to the places in us that were shaped long ago.

This is where Matrix Reimprinting becomes such a powerful tool. It builds on EFT tapping and adds a unique dimension: instead of only calming present day stress, it allows us to revisit those younger parts of ourselves, what Karl Dawson called “ECHOs” (Energetic Consciousness Holograms), and gently reimprint the nervous system with new emotional resources.

Scientific support is still growing, but a UK NHS pilot study (Boath et al., 2014) found that Matrix Reimprinting produced significant improvements in depression, anxiety, self esteem, and wellbeing. These results align with what neuroscience is telling us: when we safely revisit and rescript old memories, we can create new neural pathways. In effect, we are helping the nervous system and its surrounding matrix to soften rigid patterns and open to healthier responses.

So, when we say “the body remembers”, it is not just a metaphor. Studies now show it is biological fact. And when we use approaches like Matrix Reimprinting, we are working directly with that memory system, giving our bodies and minds the chance to update, release, and move into a new story of health and resilience.

Thinking about my day in the office yesterday. The clients I saw were so vastly different. A middle-aged woman with a lot of stress in her life who needed to relax a bit, a college athlete looking to address some shoulder issues before returning to her sport, and an elderly gentleman with low back pain who just wants to be able to play golf.

The work we do as Massage Therapists is not a “one-size fits all”. These three clients all needed something vastly different when they were on my table. To be able to help each of them with their issues and address their individual needs was so very gratifying.

Massage therapy truly is for EVERY BODY!

If I can help just one person feel better than when they entered my office, then I know I am doing what I was meant to do.

I am so very grateful to have chosen massage therapy as my life’s work and that I get to help so many wonderful people.

Find your passion and do what you love!❤️

As you know, I strive to continually provide you with the highest quality of care, which includes keeping up with ongoing education, maintaining professional certifications, and ensuring my practice remains equipped with the best tools and resources to benefit my clients. To continue offering these high standards and keep pace with rising costs in the industry, I will be implementing a small increase in my session rates.
