Almost 5 yrs ago, I was so determined to bring play therapy to WV, my home state. Not just talk about it- but DO it. Driving Ivy, the play therapy bus from Bama was a long trip immediately followed by a media blitz. I was nearing the end of my career and wanted to give my best to the kids in WV and their therapists. Met a whole community of great people who were willing to give traumatized children a voice in therapy and the courtroom. Still working on growing the numbers of Registered Play Therapists in the coalfields and beyond. So proud of all of you RPTs in WV. IVY is still being used in WV by Stephanie Casto, LICSW, RPT and she is doing a fantastic job. Let's keep it going forward WV!

Passing the torch. Loved being a part of this sweet girl’s professional journey! The WORK she has put in to being able to submit her application to become a Registered Play Therapist is as challenging as obtaining a 2nd masters degree. She worked hard, practiced play therapy with traumatized kiddos with knowledge and compassion, and now she will be adding 3 more initials after the string she has already attained. Bridgette Wilson I couldn’t be more proud of you and your dedication to providing the best care to this population. It has been an honor for me. Love you Girl!!!
