Throughout Mental Health Awareness Month, I will be highlighting amazing mental health professionals throughout the Etowah County area in hopes of helping someone in need connect with the right support. 💚

Today’s spotlight is on Tiffany Thompson, LICSW-S, PIP, CDBT, owner of Breakthrough Beginnings, LLC.

Tiffany specializes in helping individuals and families navigate anxiety, parenting stress, relationship struggles, life transitions, adoption and foster care dynamics, attachment challenges, trauma, and emotional or behavioral concerns. With specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Training for Adoption Competency (TAC), she brings both knowledge and compassion into the work she does every day.

Her approach is supportive, practical, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental; helping clients build real-life coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward healing and growth.

One thing that stood out to me is her reminder that a breakthrough doesn’t mean life becomes perfect… it means something shifts. Your understanding. Your confidence. Your ability to respond differently. 💚

Thank you, Tiffany, for the work you do for individuals and families in our community. Etowah County needs more people willing to walk alongside others through healing. 🙌🏾

For Mental Health Awareness Month, I want to spotlight someone who is truly making a difference in our community Jenny Eagle with Lighthouse Counseling Services.

Jenny is simply amazing and has such a genuine heart for helping people heal, grow, and navigate life’s challenges. In a world where so many are silently struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and everyday life stressors, having compassionate professionals like her in our community matters more than ever.

One thing I love most is that she creates a safe space where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and reaching out for help is a sign of strength not weakness.
