At 72 hours, swelling and tightness can still be very noticeable — this is a completely normal part of the healing curve. Many patients start to feel a bit more comfortable around this point as the initial inflammation slowly begins to settle.

Joy is continuing with rest, icing as instructed, and keeping her head elevated to support a smooth recovery. Every day brings subtle progress, even if it’s not always visible yet. Healing is happening underneath it all.
