Noah’s story began with a very stressful birth.
After being induced at 41 weeks, his heart rate suddenly began crashing, and he was delivered via emergency c-section. He was born navy blue, immediately placed on oxygen, and rushed away for medical care. Soon after, doctors discovered he had a collapsed lung.
His mom didn’t get to hold him until the following day.
As traumatic as those first moments were, Noah’s mom had already begun learning about how birth interventions and trauma can impact a baby’s nervous system long term. Because of that education, she brought Noah to our office when he was just 2 weeks old.
During his neurological evaluation, we found significant stress affecting his vagus nerve—the part of the nervous system heavily involved in regulation, digestion, sleep, breathing, and calming the body.
Suddenly, so much made sense:
Constant crying
Difficulty sleeping
Limited head movement
A baby who never seemed settled
Noah began receiving gentle neurologically-focused chiropractic care to help support and regulate his nervous system from the very beginning.
Today, Noah is EIGHT years old and thriving 💛
He sleeps well, has met his milestones beautifully, recovers quickly when illness does hit, and still loves getting adjusted every week. In fact, he says he wants to be “Dr. Noah” when he grows up 😊
Stories like Noah’s are exactly why early nervous system support matters so much.
Because kids don’t simply “grow out” of nervous system stress.
Often, those patterns evolve over time:
Difficulty feeding can become colic.
Colic can become chronic ear infections.
Those challenges can become sensory struggles, emotional dysregulation, focus issues, anxiety, and more.
When we support the nervous system early, we have the opportunity to change the trajectory entirely.
Noah’s mom is incredibly grateful she learned about birth trauma before his story unfolded any differently—and we’re passionate about helping more families understand that there is hope, help, and another path forward 💛
