performed many "firsts" including being the first gynecologic surgeon in Columbus accredited by the Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy in both laparoscopy and hysteroscopy; the first to perform laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy and laparoscopic bladder suspensions in Columbus; the first in Columbus to perform office-based urethral sling procedures for urine loss; and the first to perform Thermachoice™ endometrial ablation in the office. Dr. Richards is a pioneer in minimally invasive gynecologic treatment. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University, is board certified and is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society. Steven Balaloski, MD received his medical degree from The Ohio State University and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology; a member of the American Urogynecologic Society; and accredited by the council for Gynecologic Endoscopy. Dr. Balaloski was the first in central Ohio to perform endometrial ablation (an alternative to hysterectomy) and Essure™ sterilization in the office.
