Commercial beekeepers in Texas have lost about two thirds of their honey bees since June last year, according to a recent survey.

The 2025 - Scholarship for Honey Bee Health opens in just 1 week! 🐝

Starting March 1, applications are open for up to $50,000 per year for up to three years to support your research in Agriculture, Apiculture, or Entomology.

Our own Gary Barber was lucky enough to win a George Hansen encaustic painting. Gary’s ticket was drawn in a raffle supporting Project Apis m. Check them out if you haven’t. Doing great work for our honey bee friends.

A sweet moment for honey bee health! The winner of the Encaustic Painting Raffle supporting honey bee health research was Gary Barber, a passionate beekeeper from North Texas. Here he was thrilled to shake hands with the artist George Hansen at the ABF banquet!

Together, they are supporting the amazing work of Project Apis m, a crucial initiative dedicated to funding honey bee research to improve honey bee health.
