Good evening Beautiful people :) I have attached a link that directs you to my Instagram. Attached will be clips of individuals advocating to oppose H.B. 999!

H.B. 999 is too vague and leaves room for anything to happen. This bill can be used to ban various minority, gender, LGBTQ+, or religious organizations/groups on college campuses. This bill leaves COLLEGE ADULTS to not do what they please with their money. This leaves COLLEGE ADULTS to be uneducated on history and no way to be culturally competent, which is important especially in sociology or social work majors. How do we help specific populations without gaining the knowledge about their culture?? How do we help the most vulnerable without the necessary education and experience?? I had believed college was an opportunity to learn and grow as a person, but if they are trying to take away that right, then my believe is wrong!

Good morning beautiful blessed people! It's almost one of my favorite months, March, which is Social Work month! During March I want everyone to help anyone who is in need. Help can look like anything, whether that's blessing someone with food/water, giving thanks to others, or donating to a cause. Helping comes in many forms :) Let's work together to stand powerful together!

We want to help push students in a positive direction that allows them to be prepared for a bright future. Not only students but we want to improve the quality of life of all ages and groups. Boosting self-esteem and allowing one to learn how to be self-driven.

HAPPY BLACK HISTORY month! You can celebrate Black History easily by shopping at Black-owned restaurants, clothing stores, and hair/nail shops, posting awareness on social media, or attending local BHM events if possible. Take these few weeks to celebrate any way you can, but let's not forget to continue celebrating even after that calendar passes February!

The one reason why I created Birth of Desire, is because I am a PROUD Social Worker. I fell in love with helping people become a better version of themselves. Not only a better version, but a version that they maybe lost, but found all over again, by just having someone there for them to LISTEN and be HEARD.
