Our canine companions always brighten our day! Thank you to our Director of Physical Therapy , Jane for bringing Duncan to love on our residents. We also enjoyed a visit from our Resident Services aficionado, Aleshia’s sweet pup Minnie -and who can forget Bandit? To know him is to love him. Our sweet resident, Becky can assure you he is spoiled. He is the cutest!

Months ago our amazing residents William “Dub” & Joann “Jo” had big plans. Dub exclaimed that he loved to garden and promised, “We will have a bumper crop of tomatoes!” They also planted jalapeños, green peppers, and fresh herbs.

The first harvest of tomatoes went straight to Chef Terrell & our fantastic culinary team who made delicious BLT’s with our fresh tomatoes!

We enjoyed our time at Butch’s Market at White Sulphur Farms. We learned the history of the farm that dates back to the 1800’s and the fascinating story behind the shops namesake.

Garland “Butch” Reynolds, Sr. Butch ran a popular butcher shop in downtown Gainesville in the 1930’s. We learned about the great tornado that hit Hall County in 1936 and how Butch survived while his shop was demolished. Many relics were salvaged including the original cash register that is now on display in the shop! Thank you to Butch’s sweet family for the hospitality and history!

We had the best time today at Butch’s Market at White Sulphur Farms. The farm goes back to the 1800’s!The best part was that one of the owners, Mary turned out to be a former student of one of our beloved residents ,Jack. What a sweet surprise .She recalls having a blast in 5th grade thanks to Mr. Jack’s English class. Stay tuned for more from our adventure!
