Academy for Five Element Acupuncture We are a not-for-profit graduate institution in Gainesville, FL. We offer a Master of Acupuncture and certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine.

We also offer continuing education courses throughout the year for licensed acupuncturists. Academy for Five Element Acupuncture offers a highly distinctive curriculum with a specific focus on the Five Element tradition. Thrive Acupuncture & Wellness is looking for a full-time Associate Acupuncturist to join our growing, purpose-driven team!

🧡 We’re a busy, community-focused cash and VA clinic treating everything from pain, digestion, fertility, and anxiety to autoimmune support and cancer care. Our approach? Root-cause healing, not quick fixes. We foster deep, long-term relationships with our patients—and love working with practitioners who feel the same.

✨ What we’re offering:
🔸 25–30 hours/week (3–4 days)
🔸 40–50 patients/week
🔸 Commission-based pay: $36–$72/hr
🔸 PTO, dental, CE reimbursement, malpractice support
🔸 Herbal commissions + a robust pharmacy
🔸 Earn $75k+ with work/life balance intact

We’re counting down the days until this amazing group of interns officially graduates—and we couldn’t be more proud. 💛

As Class 40 prepares to take their final steps, we’re also getting excited to welcome Class 41 into their clinical residency. Watching each cohort grow, learn, and step into their future as healers is what it’s all about.

This time of year always has us feeling nostalgic—thinking back on all of our incredible classes and the journeys we’ve witnessed. Each one has left their unique mark on our community, and we’re so honored to be part of it.

Are you an Academy grad looking for new, interesting online continuing ed courses that are relevant to your practice?

Registration is open for Pathophysiology of the Officials: Treatment from a Five Element Perspective with Jim Brooks!

This class will discuss treating pathophysiology from a Five Element perspective. We will cover how to translate signs and symptoms into the language of the Officials, conceptualize pathophysiology from the standpoint of the functions of the Officials, and develop treatment principles for a number of hypothetical patient presentations. The discussion will include treating the Officials within a Five Element context.

Jim Brooks, L.Ac, Dipl OM (NCCAOM) is a graduate of the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture and has been practicing acupuncture in Gainesville, FL since 2010. Jim is on faculty at both Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine, and the Academy where he teaches and supervises in both the acupuncture and herbal medicine programs.
