Hip pain when you squat?
It might actually be coming from... your ankles. 👀

When your ankle dorsiflexion is limited, your knees can’t drive forward over your toes… and that forward motion is key for getting your hips into a better, less pinchy position.

If you are lacking Dorsiflexion, propping your heels up during a squat can make a huge difference.

It takes away the need for as much ankle mobility and lets you access your full squat range without the pinch.

This doesn’t mean ignore ankle mobility — you still need to work on it long-term.
But this small adjustment can reduce pain right now while keeping your form clean and your hips happy.

No, you’re not imagining it… your hip pain CAN feel worse around your period.
Promise it’s not all in your head.

Hormonal shifts during your cycle can affect things like:
Joint laxity
Inflammation
Sensitivity to pain

For some, that means impingement, labral tears, or general hip pain flares up more during that time of the month.

If you’ve noticed your pain comes in waves, your cycle might be part of the puzzle.

What is so unique about this experience? For starters Jenna comes to you! All treatments are provided one-on-one in the privacy of your home, studio or office. This truly creates a personalized approach to your therapy sessions. On Pointe's top priority has always been to provide the highest quality care that focuses on whole body wellness and prevention. Having this full hour of individualized attention means that we have the freedom to really explore the root cause of your problems and create a treatment that works best for YOU!

Don't have a current injury? Thats ok! Prevention is key and creates a more well-balanced lifestyle. Jenna understands that each patient has their own unique needs, and we will always focus on meeting your goals so that you are able to perform at your highest level!
