The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting dentists with a variety of dental procedures to support the efficient and effective operation of the dental practice, while keeping patient care, comfort, and safety as the primary concern.
This position requires the ability to make decisions consistent with established policies and with strict observance of confidentiality of patient information.

-Treats patients for dental ailments.

-Assists in the dental treatment of patients, including seating patients, mixing filling and impression materials, and examining charts and treatment results on patients’ dental records.

-Explains procedures and subsequent treatments needed to patients.

-Assists patients with questions, concerns, and medical history.

- Sets up for dental procedures according to each patient’s treatment.

-Records treatment results on patient’s dental record, instructs patients in the care of teeth and appliances, and provides instructional materials.

-Cleans, sterilizes, and assembles instruments, supplies, and equipment.

-Schedules and confirms appointments and requisitions supplies and equipment.
